Thursday Thoughts

Will the snow melt or is it here for good?
*
I wonder if Ralph will call me to play duplicate bridge tonight?
*
I sure hope my knee doesn't prevent me from playing hockey.
*
One date square left - have to save that for Gerry!
*
How will I get to town tomorrow?
*
Don't have to cook tonight, enough left over from last night's spicy mac & beef.
*
There's a town called Mermaid's Cove in Australia, wouldn't it be a magical place to live?
*
Only one month and 10 days till Christmas...will I have all my gifts made as planned in time?
*
(I really don't like Christmas time)
*
The power has been out for an hour and a half and now I have no more Thursday thoughts
*
A cup of tea would hit the spot right now
Anise tea.
*
So long, farewell, auf wiedersehn, goodbye

  2. What about counting all thoughts we have for a day.... I guess it's easier to count the stars! I like it that you share a glimpse of yours.

  3. I love the randomness of this list. Hoping your power came back quickly.

  4. What's this knee thing going on in your family? Not good. And hope the power was quick to return. We've yet to have snow; that's fine with me. Please take care -- hope your knee is better soon.

  5. Joyce,
Thank you for your recent visit to my daughter's blog. I appreciate you taking the time to leave some thoughts. I hope you found the picture you were looking for. If not let me know. The blog was a way of helping me deal with a small child who faced surgery on both hips do to DDH.

  6. Sometimes it's good to think about ... nothing !

Hope your knee held up during hockey. I think my wife shares your view of Christmas time, not Christmas, but just all the little (usually) hassles that detract from the illusion of 'the perfect Christmas'.

  8. I have never tried anise tea, but it sounds good. As for Christmas - I buy presents during the year when I go on trips but by Christmas time I sometimes forget where I placed them…. -

  10. Hi, Joyce, just checking in on you and noting here that you said "You really don't like Christmastime." So you must be right in the thick of it now. I am, too. Usually, I love it and I decorate and am merry but this year has been so crazy, work so toxic and stressed, time so limited that I have had to say to myself "Do what you can. Be with whom you love. The rest is just eye candy."

Most of the time, it works!
