Six Word Saturday

Idle hands are the devil's workshop

From Lani (lanisramblings.blogspot.com)

....the idea is to describe your life in exactly six words. Sounded like a challenge to me. So, after much contemplation and inner sould searching (not really, actually just had to find the words for what was already in my mind), this is what I came up with. Those who know me know that I am always doing something , sometimes my son askes...can't you just sit here and do nothing?" To me, doing nothing means time with nothing accomplished. With respect to myself...others like to just relax and do nothing, and that's okay too. But if I don't keep my mind busy, its not good for my well-being. Anyhow, so there it is. Anyone else care to join in?

The originater asked to post a Mr. Linky when you do it, but I have no idea how to do that, if anyone knows - maybe a hint?

And this is the flickr pics link, I don't know how to do that properly either!
1. Busy Hands, 2. Busy Hands, 3. busy hands, 4. 100dpi not my busy hands, 5. Busy Hands, 6. Busy hands

  1. I know what you mean. Me too, I even had to go back to work one time because not being busy with my mind was driving me insane.

  2. I find that I can waste half of a day just buying a coffee. I don't mean to brag but I have brought laziness to the level of an art form. I have spent entire Saturdays when the lawn has begged for cutting and the cars oil has called out for changing, doing nothing but turning the pages of a news paper.

  3. Oh Peter you make me laugh, I can do the exact same thing... ;-) But instead of the paper I'll be reading a book or so.

And Joyce, I'm missing scrapbook making pictures here. You're so great at this piece of art.
This post is to typical YOU. Love it. Hugs.

  4. I love the collage - busy hands are so important - lets us keep an active mind :)

  5. When I read your post, I started thinking about proverbs/sayings with six words. I immediately came up with: "A stitch in time saves nine." The early bird catches the worm." "Procrastination is the thief of time." I follow not one of these gems, but they are definitely something to aspire to.

  6. What a great idea for a post, and your photos are perfect. My husband also wants to know why I can't "just sit." I am always multi-tasking, as I don't want to waste one minute of the day. Could be why I can't sleep late or need to go to bed late some nights. If this is the case...why can't I get more of my list accomplished?!:)

  7. And don't worry about getting links correct- I didn't even know what flikr was until last week! Now what am I supposed to do with it?
